WOW timeline

Lockdowns started in Melbourne March 31, 2020. A total of six lockdowns followed, with an accumulated total of 262 days. Melbourne Australia endured the longest lockdowns in the world.

The hard left Premier of Melbourne Danial Andrews who admires Communist China, openly mocked people who did not want to be locked up in their homes.

Army tanks were driven through the streets of Melbourne to subdue desperate people who simply wanted to keep their businesses open and take their kids to school.

In response, hundreds of thousands of people filled the streets every week, facing pepper spray, physically being flung to the ground by police and numerous arrests and fines.

The World of Wellness came out of this chaos.

2020

Victorian police formed a ‘ring of steel’ around the city of Melbourne to stop people leaving the city.

Reignite Democracy Australia was founded by Monica Smit, to fight back against tyranny and censorship. Monica was arrested and put in solitary confinement. However she emerged stronger than ever and went on to write a book about her experiences.

Avi Yamini from Rebel News reported on the early protests and faced police violence.

In September 2020 a heavily pregnant mum Zoe Buhler was arrested in her home in Ballarat, handcuffed in front of her children and taken off to jail. Her crime? Putting up a post on Facebook saying she wanted to protest the endless lockdowns. Once again, the post of this event went around the world, was seen by millions and just enraged the public even more.

2021

The protests grew along with the police brutality towards unarmed civilians. In September 2021 police ‘kettled’ protestors in the city and pushed them towards the Shrine of Remembrance, an iconic war memorial in Melbourne. There police in all black riot gear shot unarmed people, some singing the national anthem, with rubber and pepper bullets.

Video’s of this shooting went around the world and outraged Melbourne people. Protests grew bigger and more vocal. Police eventuall lost control of the enormous crowds.

Another iconic movement was on the 6th November 2021. Michael Gray Griffith a former playwrite organized a musician to play ‘Advance Australia Fair’ at a protest. Nobody was allowed to sing along, in memory of the country he felt we were losing.

Michael started the group Cafe Locked Out the following month. It became Australia’s largest alternative media outlet. Michael drove a bus all around Australia, interviewing people about the lockdowns, losing their jobs, the vaccine mandates and how they felt about the pandemic laws.

2022

A convey to Canberra was organized, inspired by the Canadian truckers. Over a million people attended. It was Australia’s largest protest.

Graham Hood, a Qantas pilot who was sacked after questioning the safety of the vaccines, made a video of himself putting on his uniform for the last time. Within days it had been seen by millions of people. He went on to speak at numerous events and founded the organisation Club Grubbery.

MyPlace was founded in Frankston Victoria by Darren Bergwerf a small business man who wanted to give people somewhere to go during the lockdowns. The idea was to help people talk, share ideas, learn practical skills and try to rebuild their lives. It is now an Australia wide community.

In August 2022 retired Doctor, educator and author Professor Ian Brighthope invited people to join him at a small coffee shop in Church Street Brighton, called the Dendy Deli. He decided to come out of retirement to fight back against the bullying of both Doctors and patients over experimental mRNA vaccines, and to educate the public about the effectiveness of vitamins to boost the natural immune system.

World of Wellness was registered as a company limited by liability on the 25th August 2022. We began to create an online membership website. The aim was to avoid censorship by putting our content behind a paywall, and create an income stream to support WOW’s activities.

WOW quickly outgrew with four tables at the back of the Dendy Deli, and then moved to a courtyard out the back of the Umbrella Cafe in Glen Huntly road Elsternwick. Other Doctors, sacked nurses, naturopaths and health coaches quickly joined, wanting to share their knowledge with the public.

An increasing number of health professionals joined the ongoing protests in Melbourne. The new union breakaway group Red Union was created, to offer teachers and health professionals a non political, and non vaccine-mandating union. The Australian Medical Professionals Society now offers Doctors and Nurses workplace insurance and legal support.

WOW directors attended the yearly ACNEM conference. ACNEM was founded by Professor Ian Brightope in the 1982, to train Australian Doctors in the principles and practice of integrative medicine.

In December 2022 a party was held in the grounds of Billilla House, where members celebrated their first Christmas together.

2023

In 2023 we moved again, this time to a large church hall at St Coleman’s church in Balaclava. Weekly guest speakers discussed natural ways to manage your health, manage stress from the constant fear mongering on the media and build new communities.

Fortnightly zoom interviews begun, where interviews with health professionals were held online, WOW members could log in and ask questions in realtime, and the interview was recorded so people who missed the event could watch the video at a later time.

Some of the major figures in the Melbourne protest movement came and spoke at WOW events. These include Nick Patterson the gym owner who was attacked physically by police after refusing to shut his gym during the lockdowns.

Another figure in the Melbourne movement was Morgan C Jonas, who ran a popular podcast called the MCJ Report, and then formed the Victorian Freedom Party.

We also had non pharmaceutical-based health professionals come and talk, about understanding the conditions that lead to illness, and how to live healthier, more productive lives.

Our members appreciated our content and came faithfully every week, supporting our events and signing up for our website membership.

We also had people with disabilities come talk about their experiences dealing with the health industry and their opinion of the past four years of lockdowns, media fear campaigns and the mandating of experimental gene editing vaccines on both people with health conditions, and their carers.

2024

In February 2024 we held a Bollywood party for both fun and fundraising. People loved the dress ups, the Indian food and the Indian dance display.

The website grew into a reference hub, with a director of health services, library of our videos and calendar of upcoming events.

Guest speakers included pilots who spoke out about the vax injuries among pilots, lawyers who investigated the damage caused by 5G towers close to residential homes and schools and the very few politicians who listened to their constituant’s concerns and spoke out in Parliament.

WOW ran a number of intravenous vitamin C courses, explaining the background to the therapeutic use of vitamin C and it’s effectiveness in acute conditions such as sepsis.

WOW began to run market days, where local companies making organic health and food related products, could come and sell their wares to our growing audience.

WOW also started a series of Trivia nights, where members could enjoy a fun night with the Melbourne MC Greg Cheeseman, over a nice meal while raising funds for WOW.

2025

WOW is now an established and successful organisation, holding interviews with local and international guest speakers, covering topics ranging from natural therapies to fighting against medical and political censorship. We are building relationships with health reform groups across Australia and Professor Ian Brightope is regularly in touch with international groups such as the World Council for Health.
