Make your own monitoring equipment with Raspberry Pi

Raspberry Pi is a series of small motherboards originally developed in the United Kingdom to help teach computer science and electronics in schools.

The Raspberry Pi foundation was created in 2008 and registered as a charity in 2009 by people working at the Computer Science Department of Cambridge University.

It has since grown to a global community of electronics hobbyists, who have used the low cost electronics to create a vast number of low cost devices, including phones, tablets, desktops, smart monitoring devices and medical equipment.

Raspberry Pi has since spread into commercial areas such as industrial automation, robotics, home automation and Internet of Things.
